Langkawi Part 1.

Assalamualaikum w.b.t

I warn you. This will be a long post. I can't upload photos since the internet is so slow. I'll upload the photos in the next entry..InsyaAllah..

Alhamdulillah I just came back from Langkawi last Monday. Seriously, it was an awesome vacation!! I wish I can go there next time. InsyaAllah.

As I told before, I was so worried about my research, because the defense proposal will be on the end of this month. Supposedly! But Alhamdulillah, the defense proposal was postpone in November. I was so happy to know that. Because I'm not even ready for it. So, my decision to go for vacation, is so much worth it even though at first I want to cancel it. So, on Friday, 15 September I went back to Perlis from Shah Alam.

I forgot to mention, the vacation was sponsored by my mother's company. So I went there with all my family members and other families. So, the trip was free. We don't have to pay for the ticket, hotel, transportation and also for some of the activities there. The food was provided but only for breakfast and dinner for one night. But for me, it is more than enough.

So, we supposed to depart at 9.30 am. We departed from Kuala Perlis and arrived in Kuala Perlis around 9.15 am. As we arrived there, it was crowded with thousand of people!! Seriously! We have to waited outside since the terminal was full inside. But alhamdulillah we departed around 11 am if i'm not wrong and arrived there around 12 pm.

Waiting for the ferry at Kuala Perlis

Once we arrived there, we took a van that was provided and went to Nusantara Gamat. It was one of the activities that was include in the trip. It was not fun at all because we can't see the real gamat but just a gamat oil in the huge 'kawah'. It was frustrating. But what can we do, we have to follow the tentative. Since I'm not so interested with all this gamat stuff, I didn't buy anything there.

After half an hour at Nusantara Gamat ,we went to Padang Matsirat. We had lunch there. And for your information, Langkawi is famous with their expensive food. Seriously. Even though I study in Shah Alam, the food in Langkawi is more expensive compare to Shah Alam. For lunch I spent RM 6 for a nasi campur. And my other family members had nasi and ikan bakar. After had a lunch we went to the next destination, Beras Terbakar which is not so far from Padang Matsirat. It tooks like 5 minutes.

There,we performed the Zuhur prayer and of course for makcik - makcik, it's time for shopping. For those who didn't know, here in Beras Terbakar, they sell a lots of kain batik and it is beautiful. But I didn't grab even one since I'm not wearing it. But, my mother bought two pairs of it with one kaftan. And for those who decide to buy a hat I really recommend to buy it here. Why? Because it's much cheaper compare to other places. You can get a big hat for only RM 10 ringgit. It is worth to buy, because it is so beautiful and the quality was good . You can't get that price in other places. But I didn't buy it because I thought I will buy it at Pantai Chenang. However, at Pantai Chenang, you will not get that price.

It was so hot in Langkawi. I went there before with my friend and seriously it was so hot. Luckily I bring along my hand fan. Since my twin didn't have one, I bought one, and it cost around RM 5 for a small hand fan. So total damage now, RM 11. After done with shopping, around 3 pm, we went to Pantai Chenang to check in. Pantai Chenang has been develop so well compare to the last time I went there. There are McD, Starbucks, Old Town White Coffee, Chenang Mall,Bread story and a lot of stalls on the side of the road.

We check in at Delta Motel which located at Pantai Chenang and the chalet is facing the beach. I was so happy at first. I shared the room together with my parent and my twin. However, a problem occurred. The toilet in the chalet was clogged and flooded with water. And don't mention about the smell. I don't think I can sleep there even for one night. So, I told my mum, lets book another room, and if I have to pay, I'm willing to pay for it. My brothers, get a room at The Cabin which is not far from Delta Motel. Took 5 minutes walk to Pantai Chenang. However, our tour guide, Kak Desawati was so kind. She give us another room and I and my twin get a room at The Cabin just beside my brothers room. While my parent get another room at Delta Motel and it is a new block. I'm really satisfied with the room at The Cabin. I really recommend this room. It cost around RM150/night. Since we were sponsored, it is free..  :)

Since in the evening there are no activities, I together with my twin and younger brother decide to try the para sailing. It cost around RM60. But we got special price for only RM50. To do this activity, we have to go to Pantai Tengah. But don't worry, the price that you pay includes the transport to Pantai Tengah and also the return trip. Since we were too excited to try the para sailing, we forgot to bring a camera. So, there were no pictures. It was sad, but the experience, was awesome. Everyone should try this sport if you come to Langkawi. After that we decided to try the banana boat. Supposedly, it cost RM15/person. But since we only have 3 persons, they charge for one boat which is RM60. So each person have to pay RM20/person. But we ride for 4 person including my older brother. So, current total damage, RM81.

During night, we had our dinner at Delta Motel. It was provided. After dinner we decided to take a walk at Pantai Chenang. As I said earlier, Pantani Chenang is so much different from the last time I came. There are many stalls on the side of the road. You can buy souvenirs, clothes and many more. But Pantai Chenang is more expensive since it is a tourist attraction. But you still can find a cheap thing to buy. The night walk was so good. You will feel like you are not in Malaysia, since there were many tourists. I bought key chains for my friends.  It cost RM 10 for 10 key chains. And plus you get one free if you buy 10 or more. I also bought 2 cartons of cigarette and it cost RM97. But it is not for me okay. My cousin order it from me. Total damage RM 178. We went back to our room around 12 am.

To be continued...

Adapt the changes

Assalamualaikum w.b.t

So, we need to say Alhamdulillah. InsyaAllah.

Many events have took place during Syawal. A lot of friends have decided to get engaged as well as getting married. It is a new phase in their life. Lets pray the relationship will last until Jannah, InsyaAllah.

During Syawal, most of my days are on the road. I have been travel from Perlis to Baling and then to Gerik and went to Aulong, also Bidor and Tapah.. And the came back to Perlis, and the next day went to Padang rengas from Alor Setar by a bus to Kulim and by a car to Padang rengas and the next day to Taiping for my bestfriend engagement day. Alhmdulillah, everything went as plan.

Now, I'm here in Shah Alam. Finishing my research. What makes it different now, I'm all alone right now. My twin already completed her study and insyaAllah will be graduated in November. Alhamdulillah

The felling is not the same. Being alone sometimes make me feel sad and sometimes make me feel very weak. Yes, it's so hard to be independent but I don't have any choice right now. Either I like it or not, I need to face it all alone.

What can i do now, just pray and hope everything will be fine. When I was in this situation, I realize when everybody is away from me, Allah is very near to me. yes. Each time I feel sad or something that make me feel weak, Allah is the best listener. How lucky us to have Allah. Right?

My research progress doesn't seem to be good. The time running so fast and I don't know either I can defense my proposal on September or not. But I really hope there will be a chance. InsyaAllah.

I'm writing this at my cubicle. Yes. All alone. Quiet. :(

Bersangka Baiklah Kepada Allah

Assalamualaikum w.b.t

Allah sayangkan kita. That is something that we have to keep in our mind. What ever happen, mesti ada hikmah disebaliknya. Today, Allah tested me.  Allah baru uji sikit, aku dah sedih, dah fikir yang bukan - bukan. I thought, Allah doesn't love me. Then I read this article. I became more sad.

And when I think it back, ujian yang Allah turunkan kat aku ni baru sikit, sedangkan ada orang yang
Allah turunkan ujian lagi dasyat tapi mereka mampu besabar dan terus bersangka baik dengan Allah.
Mungkin selama aku lalai, bila aku senang aku lupakan Dia, and bila susah baru nak cari Dia.  :(
Dia nak kita selalu ingat padaNya.
Dia nak kita berdoa dan merayu padaNya. Tapi kita masih lagi bersangka buruk padaNya.

So, aku kena lihat benda ni dari another perspective. Aku kena bersyukur sebab ujian Allah ni
membuktikan yang Allah sayang pada aku. Alhamdulillah  :)

Ramadhan update!

Assalamualaikum w.b.t

Alhamdulillah, we are in the month of Ramadhan. How great to be in this month. It's such a gift from Allah to us. See how Allah loves us? If He doesn't love us, why He gave such a wonderful month for us to worship to Him.? A month where every good deed that we do will be flooded with full of abundant reward.. Allhamdulillah. We have been given a chance to breathe and live it this month. The month that everyone is waiting for. So, don't forget to say Alhamdulillah.  :)

So apparently, there's nothing much to say. Alhamdulillah, I have completed writing my research proposal, and just waiting for correction from my supervisor. :) And I hope, I gonna be able to defense on September. InsyaAllah :)

Another good news, my friend is getting engaged on the 5th of Syawal. I was so happy for her but at the
same time I feel so sad.. But I really hope I can be at her engagement day..InsyaAllah

And after 5 months, eventually I will be going back to Perlis.. Alahmdulillah.  :)

Lalu aku mengucapkan:"Amin". -Riwayat Imam Ahmad

Use this month to the maximum. It comes once every year, and we can't be guaranteed we will be able to
meet Ramadhan next year. Let makes this Ramadhan is the best Ramadhan in our life. InsyaAllah

We live once, so grab the opportunity!

Assalamualaikum w.b.t

The 1st semester will end just in a few months. Alhamdulillah, now I can breathe. Hopefully all the hard work pays off. InsyaAllah. Pray for me  :)... And in less than a week Ramadhan will come, do we ready for it? Just ask your self either you have prepare for it or not. Mentally and of course spiritually  :). Lets have the best Ramadhan this year. InsyaAllah.

Since 1st semester will be end, I have been thought many things about my life. What I'm gonna do for the rest of my life. Of course being a good Muslim is my first priority. But being a good Muslim doesn't mean you have to limit your self from doing something you like. I don't like just being a typical Muslim.

So far, I have experienced being a teacher. Even though it was a challenging job, but when I think it back, I have go through the difficult part and now I can tell my friends about my experience. Isn't that good? For me yes. Every experience have their own value even though it just a small one.

I have tried doing quilling art. That was the biggest thing in my life that I thought at first, I can't do it. But look now, I can take order from my teacher. And thanks to my teacher. I think, if she didn't push me to do it, until now, I still think I can't do it. And yes, I have accomplished two of my wishlist for this year. I got my own quilling tools and unlimited(xda la unlimited sangat pun...hehehhee) paper stock to do this quilling art.. Still there are wishlist that I don't accomplish yet. Maybe I have to postpone for next year. Maybe...

And currently I'm interested with bead. Yes! Beading. I've bought 2 tutorials for crumble technique which I like so much. But I didn't try it since I'm quite busy with my master. But InsyaAllah I'll try. My housemate said, I try many things. I replied, in this world, if we like something, just grab that opportunity. Do it. Even though just for a moment. The experience is the most important. For me la.. I don't care if people say I just do something halfway. Because for me, I want the experience.

And talk about beading, I found that, Malaysian, especially Malay, they don't like to share what they have. It's so hard to find the beading lesson in the web. It is just like impossible. Even for one pattern you have to buy the tutorial. Not like westerners, they share what they have. They even give a free tutorial. That the attitude that we want. We have to believe, our 'rezeki' all came from Allah.

Currently, I have been reading one blog that was so damn awesome. Seriously, I can't stop reading her blog. She inspired me to go for travel. She is a backpacker. And what amazing about her, she went for travel alone.!! I like the way she travel. Most of us travel with intention to go for shopping. But for her, she travel to see the world. Yes that is travel. It is different from being a traveler and a tourist.

“Tourists don’t know where they’ve been, travelers don’t know where they’re going.” – Paul Theroux

For those who are interested with travelling especially backpacking, just read her blog. You will be inspired!

So, the point here is, everything that come across you life, if you want to do or want to achieve it, just grab it. Don't waste your time when you are young. Do, everything that you like..(benda2 jahat jangan la buat pula yerr ).. So, when you get old, you have something to tell to your children, or maybe your grandchildren. And remember this quote :

Every moment is an experience.

So, don't waste the moment!!!

Time

Assalamualaikum w.b.t

I haven't going back home for almost 4 months. It was so frustrating. The time is ticking so fast and now we are in July and Ramadhan will come just in a few weeks. How was my progress? Still in testing the method and yes, I'm exhausted with the matlab code. Sometimes I feel, why I'm doing this. Am I gonna succeed.?

It's hard to be in a positive mood. I have to speed up my progress, but how? Will miracle come? But do I have to wait for miracle and doing nothing. uhhhhhh.. It's so hard, I don't even have a chance to breathe. I'm planning to defense my research proposal on September, but I'm afraid I can't be ready for it. My proposal still in progress, but I haven't write any words in methodology section since the method still didn't meet the requirement. And yes, my supervisor didn't check anything yet since I'm not finish writing the proposal.

Yes, I'm afraid for the worst thing. I'm afraid I can't defense my proposal on September, which mean I have to postpone.I'm really afraid of that. I keep thinking about my research and I never think positive because I'm afraid I'm just dreaming with it. What should I do now. ?
